Our 1st 3-course Dinner, errr.. FOC.

Yesterday saw us hit the Suntec Convention Centre at 6pm.

As I puff and pant for my breath after rushing down from my dad's company all the way down to City Hall MRT station and flying through the CityLink tunnel bit,

all little mini conflict solved with a kiss and a hug.

So much for the Internet Marketing Conference. (Came across it On Straits Times Paper and promised to teach us all the online biz tricks. ALL-FOR-FREE AND FREE DINNER!!)

Throughout the conference...Which sorta tried to 'lure' us having to pay for a whole day workshop to learn the tricks before online selling. (you can bring a free guest but Baby can't make it! 14th March... That's 1 day before his bar Opening!!)

Of course, we were talking here, a jobless+penniless+done online biz b4+too sensible and rational not to go gaga over this lazy jumpstart thingy, and my baby who's nice to accompany his baby dwn + a very very busy baby that got lotsa things to settle for his new place.

After the speaker blabbered on for like 15mins saying how good how good cannot be missed cannot be missed (the workshop), which after he asked any further questions. And without hesitation BABY the 1st and only person to shout from 1 end to the other right across the Ballroom, and to help answer everybody's doubt in mind, BABY asked "HOW MUCH??" (S$100 for 2...)

That sorta amused me much.

BREAD AND FISHY:

Towards the end of a 1.5 hr talk, dinner greeted us with lotsa bread (the hard and soft 1s = the white and brown, Baby said. something new to learn about bread i guess.), followed by starter that is an all fishy story, so baby who's not really a fishy person sent it back to the waiter (and Baby continued stuffing himself with more white bread, poor thing starved to the brim at this time.) and

LAMB = MEH MEH, DUCK = QUACK QUACK:

Main course was the Lamb steak, which he said of all the different meat, lamb gotta be the most diffcult for him to remove all those meat bits off the bone completely with his knife and fork martial arts, because of the fact that Lamb is expensive and not common in UK. I wouldn't be surprised. Baby is an expert having to scrape every small bits off the bones of every meat, with just fork and knife. Sweat.

Desert was chocolate cake, which tasted way too sweet for us.

That sorta ended the 3-course dinner for us, our 1st 1 together, and errr.... totally FOC. and 2 complimentary crappy business organisers which we have no use for it totally.

Before we had lotsa kisses and said goodbye for the night, he jokingly added on, "so baby, try to hunt free Italian food for tomorrow dinner okay?"

So much for a Thursday Gaga, which we encountered cheapskates like asking for complimentary parking coupons (whole event was already made complimentary, the food, the talk! and they still had the cheek to ask!), another 2 ladies asking for another extra servings of starters (I presumed that they didn't realise they were been served another different types of starters earlier on.. and insisted for wanting the fishy bit 1.) and the speaker a real professional sales talker, baby commented.

"The lady across our table can keep me laughing the whole night." I forgot to ask why anyway, though this was 1 lady who brought along her daughter along for the talk, and was beaming and excited about the workshop.

Of course, this night sorta made me realise how money can just drive a person mad, who thinks that if they dump all the money for the workshop, and thousands of dollar to buy the website which is already well setup, they can go ahead with their internet business.

Oh well, I never manage to learn anything what I thought would make me cover all the problems I came across when I used to help my partner with the online thingy.

But a decent FOC dinner with no need for buffet queues.

What more can we ask for?
